About Us

More Than 50 Years of Compassionate, Client-Centered Care

Madison Veterinary Hospital has been caring for pets and the people who love them in Madison Heights since 1970. What started under the leadership of Dr. Ronald Isaacson grew into one of the most trusted independent veterinary practices in metro Detroit, built on a reputation for genuine care and a staff that treats every patient like family.

In 2019, Dr. Isaacson retired and sold the practice to Dr. Kate Levey and Dr. Andrew Rollo, two veterinarians who share his belief that great medicine starts with great relationships. Under their leadership, the same commitment to quality continues, with a renewed focus on collaboration, transparency, and trust.

As an independently owned and operated practice, every decision we make is guided by what is genuinely best for your pet, not a corporate protocol. We are proud to hold AAHA accreditation for more than 50 consecutive years and to have been recognized by Newsweek as one of the Best Veterinary Hospitals in America in both 2025 and 2026.

Our mission is to provide compassionate, client-centered veterinary medicine. We know that nobody cares more about the health and happiness of your pet than you do, which is why we are committed to listening closely, communicating clearly, and building a care plan you feel confident in.

Dr. Rollo and Dr. Levey are the best! Been coming to Madison for many years. Dr Scott was the first doc we saw. Bella attended Puppy School here, which resulted in a well trained dog and her always being happy to visit her friends at Madison. Bella had several health issues and has recently moved on to The Rainbow Bridge. She always received excellent care here, and MVH even sent a sympathy card after she passed. My other girl Cara Mia is still receiving excellent care. Best veterinary practice in town. They make pet health care affordable with the monthly payment plan, which not many vets do. I would never go anywhere else.

I used to drive my cats almost 2 hours away to see a certain vet, because I’m THAT picky when it comes to my cats. I recently adopted a new kitten and wanted to try a new vet for convenience, I absolutely love everything about it here. We like to see Dr Levy but all of the doctors and staff we have met are wonderful. I can tell they really care about my cat and they are always very excited to see her. Most importantly- even my cat loves it here! She is always excited when she sees where we are. I really appreciate that the day after a big appointment they always call to check in on the cat as well.

I recommend Madison Veterinary Hospital to everyone and anyone looking for caring, experienced, and all around wonderful pet care. I’ve been a customer for decades. Dr. I literally saved the life of my first ever beloved pet and Dr. Levy has been expertly caring for and beautifully managing our current fabulous cat’s ongoing health issues. She’s helping us and helping Bella live a happy and healthy life. We’ll be forever grateful to the deeply kind and caring staff members. We even board our kitty at Madison Veterinary Hospital on occasion and we never worry about her. We know she will receive not only excellent care but also lots of love. ❤️

I have have the privilege of being served by the staff at Madison Veterinary for well over 20 years. The service and care that I have been provided is outstanding. This is a comprehensive organization that realizes that the parents of the fur babies are a part of the process. The office is so clean, and smells so good. The sell awesome candles… I buy them by the bulk. Open, honest and loving is how I would describe all of my experiences in the office. Always greeted with a smile, and they provide the best care. Love this Place

The staff at MVH are always willing to take the time to answer my many questions and explain my dog's health in detail. Cooper is my 3rd dog to receive treatment at MVH, and I plan to continue seeing them for all my veterinary needs.

Madison Veterinary Hospital is exactly what we needed for our dogs. The facility is clean and well-organized, but most importantly the staff are wonderful. They are helpful, kind, and honest. We were tired of surprise huge bills at the end …

The staff at Madison Veterinary are always very friendly. I have not had a bad experience going to this vet. The only downside is that it is hard to get an appointment because they are always booked out so far, but it only goes to show how much people love this veterinary office over any other. My pup's veterinarian, Dr. Levey, always treats my dog like one of her own. We both sit on the floor for appointments to make my dog feel included.

The vet and techs were super nice and very considerate for my pet cat! She has a fear of dogs and when there was one in the lobby not having the best time, the tech that was escorting me out of the exam room made sure to wait a bit for that dog to calm down before letting us go. It was very nice to see since my cat wasn't having the best time herself. My vet was also very gentle with my cat and performed her semi-annual checkup with the utmost care. Seriously, I don't think I'll ever stop coming here even if we move out of town haha!
