Ronald Isaacson, DVM

Dr.Dr. Isaacson founded Madison Veterinary Hospital in 1970. He is a 1963 graduate of the college of veterinary medicine at Iowa State University and served an internship at the Rowley Memorial Hospital of the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. He moved to Michigan in 1964.

Dr. I, as he is often called, is an active member of many professional organizations. He is chairman of advisory board for veterinary technicians at Macomb County Community College. He takes a special interest in the issues of veterinary practice management and feels that one of his most important goals is “to keep MVH on the cutting edge of excellence.”

A proud father of three and grandfather of 10, Dr I is passionate about the closeness of his family and that Jesus Christ is Lord of his life.

Dr. Isaacson retired from practicing veterinary medicine in September of 2006. He is still involved in the management and operations of Madison Veterinary Hospital, while enjoying his retirement.

James Coleman, DVM

Dr. James ColemanDr. Coleman was born in southwestern Pennsylvania. He spent his formative years there as well as in mid-eastern Ohio, eventually attending high school and college in Michigan. He attended Michigan State University where he optained a bachelor of science degree in medical technology. He subsequently enrolled in MSU's College of Veterinary Medicine obtaining a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 1977. Prior to joining the staff of Madison Veterinary Hospital in 1983, he was engaged in clinical companion animal practive including a year in emergency medicine.

Dr. Coleman has been active in various veterinary medical associations. He has served as President and Secretary-Treasurer of the Oakland Veterinary Medical Association and has chaired the legeslative committee of the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association. He spent 10 years on the advisory committee for Wayne County Community College District's Veterinary Technology program and currently serves on the Veterinary Technology program advisory committee for Baker College of Clinton Township. He has performed medical services for a local animal shelter on a part-time basis several days a week for the past 15 years. He treats dogs, cats, pocket pets and ferrets. He has a special interest in internal medicine and cardiology.

For recreation Dr. Coleman spends time playing bagpipes, researching genealogy, and assembling radio controlled models. He holds a black belt in ken po karate.

Scott Isaacson, DVM

Dr. Scott Isaacson Dr. Scott received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 1993 and served an internship at the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals at Rowley Memorial Hospital. He is the son of Dr. Ron Isaacson and joined the staff at Madison Veterinary Hospital in 1994. Dr. Scott is trained in ultrasonography, rigid and flexible endoscopy, and laser sugery. He is experienced in the orthopedic surgical repair of the cranial cruciate ligament, a common injury in mid to large size dogs.

Dr. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife, Amy and their three children. He likes playing softball, camping and watching Michigan State basketball games. He is an active member in his local church and their youth group. Dr. Scott tries to live his life according to the scripture verse of Madison's cornerstone. "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father throught him." Colossians 3:17

W. Andrew Rollo

Dr. Andy RolloDr. W. Andrew Rollo graduated from Michigan State University in 2004 with a doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. While at M.S.U., he became the 2nd president of the Veterinary Practice Builder's Association, helping to create scholarship opportunities for veterinary students to learn about business.

Dr. Rollo has been on the Veterinary Medicine advisory board for the past several years, as well as being a contributing author of several articles to the journal. Dr. Rollo also does speaking engagements on veterinary health topics.

Dr. Rollo treats dogs and cats. He specializes in stem cell therapy, an alternative form of treatment for a variety of conditions, such as arthritis.
